Write a Book in a Day

- One of the most authentic examples of 21st Century Learning Skills in action.

The Write a Book in a Day Competition is a unique and challenging extended learning opportunity in which students from Year 5 - Year 12 must write, edit, illustrate and publish a story book, all in a 12 hour period!

The competition provides an outstanding opportunity to challenge and extend students with high level literacy skills. It also provides artistic students with the means by which to have their illustrations published.

Importantly, the Write a Book in a Day Competition is an authentic learning activity that fosters: creativity, collaboration, communication, problem solving and ICT skills.

Finally, the Write a Book in a Day Competition is intrinsically good because it activates a sense of personal & social responsibility in students. The books that students create are shared with young Australians with cancer and the funds raised through participation is donated to The Kids Cancer Project.
